From 1932 until 1960, the agency was known as "The Dan Boyette Agency", so named after its founder, Dan Boyette, Sr. In 1960, Julian Robertson joined the agency changing the name to the present name of "Boyette & Robertson Agency". Since that time, Mr. Robertson has worked in all aspects of the business operation. He particularly enjoys helping business and commercial clients find solutions to their insurance needs. He has worked extensively with health care providers in obtaining affordable malpractice insurance, and has had much experience in this area of specialized insurance coverages. Walt is a lifelong resident of Ahoskie, in 2005 He graduated from NC State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business Management, and a minor in Economics. During his time at NCSU he became a licensed NC Real Estate broker and worked with Mikels & Jones Properties in Raleigh. Walt also holds a NC Insurance License and a NC General Contractors license. Since 2007 Walt has been self employed as a real estate broker based in Raleigh and New Bern, NC. Walt looks forward to continuing the service that has been a tradition at Boyette& Robertson Agency for over 75 years.
Barbara Jones joined the agency in 1970 and has worked in all aspects of the business operation. She services the agency's commercial and individual and family clients, and helps them identify their insurance needs and finds ways to satisfy those needs. She works directly with many of the agency's clients, and maintains a personal familiarity with their needs. Elizabeth joined the Boyette & Robertson Agency in 2009 with several years of insurance experience.
